{{matcher.matcherNotes}}

The last 18 months have been extraordinarily hard for us all. The disruption, stress and grief caused by the pandemic has devastated the lives of individuals and communities around the world, and has had a significant impact on every aspect of World Jewish Relief’s work.

In places like Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia and Belarus, 60% of the people World Jewish Relief supports have had their access to basic healthcare cut. Where we provide assistance to vulnerable and marginalised people looking for work, 74% lost their jobs and 65% had to reduce their family food intake.

In places where we are working with victims of disaster and displacement, such as Mozambique, India and Bangladesh, provisions of hygiene equipment and PPE are scarce, as is accurate information about symptoms and infection of Covid-19.

To try to alleviate this extreme hardship, World Jewish Relief has been responding to the pandemic by increasing our recovery efforts for those whose already hard lives have been hit harder still. For many, this is the difference between life and death.

So far, we have been able to reach 29,530 people in 13 countries.

As our world begins to get back to normal, we need to do more to help those for whom recovery still feels a long way off.

Your support will ensure World Jewish Relief can continue its vital work in saving the lives and livelihoods of those hit hardest by Covid-19.
