On October 7 life stopped for a moment and changed beyond recognition. The current situation in Israel and the growing threat of anti-Semitism in the UK and around the world has kept us in a state of anxiety, uncertainty and deep sadness.  

It’s been hard to focus on anything else but at Noa we are faced with a daily reminder that when many things have faded to the background, the daily struggles our girls face have not. For many they have just intensified. The girls at Noa cannot afford to go without our critical support.    

These girls rely on Noa to support them through immense challenges and mental health struggles. Anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, eating disorders are just some of the challenges our girls face. These challenges can overwhelm girls and make them question their very future. Often, Noa is the only place they can go to access practical, emotional and therapeutic support that they desperately need.   

Despite the complexity of the current situation, we are faced with the financial reality of needing to keep Noa going. All our data shows we are making a real difference. Girls are reducing harmful behaviours, recovering, building independent positive futures, creating healthy relationships and lives.  But we can only do that with your help. We need to raise £1,000,000 now to be able to continue providing the necessary support to girls in our service to keep them safe, to empower them towards recovery and healing. If we don’t raise those funds now, we are going to have to significantly reduce our services. 

Our campaign, #ThisisWhy, is being run when the community’s mental health is under threat like never before, at a time when our teens desperately need to build their emotional resilience. The girls at Noa rely on us to keep them safe and we need the community, now more than ever, to join us in providing our life changing support to all the girls at Noa.
