Beth Hamedrash Knesset Yehezkel (BHKY) has been a central pillar of Jewish life in NW London for nearly 40 years. Founded under the leadership of Rabbi Aaron Bassous שליטא, it has grown from a small minyan in the Rav’s home into a thriving Torah centre serving over 100 families. The shul has become a place where people daven, learn and connect, producing Bnei Torah, baalei batim and Rabbanim who now serve communities across the world. Its premises are busy from early morning until late at night. Torah learning, daily minyanim, shiurim, women’s and children’s programmes and regular Kollel sessions all take place under one roof.

The impact reaches far beyond the core membership. The building hosts hundreds of people from the wider community every week. Schools use the premises for learning initiatives. Boys’ programmes and Avot Ubanim attract families from across NW London. Community events, gatherings, large shiurim and guest speakers create a space where London Jewry comes together. Affordable hall hire supports simchas, school events and communal needs. In practice, BHKY functions as one of the only fully inclusive Torah and community hubs in Golders Green.
