Bloomsbury Football Foundation is aiming to raise £100,000 to support over 100 young people with disabilities every week. Bloomsbury Football Foundations programmes for disabled young people has been running since 2021, supporting over 100 young people in that time, and has plans for significant expansion throughout 2024 and beyond.

Given the high rates of isolation, physical and mental health issues and a lack of accessible football provision for young people with disabilities in the capital, Bloomsbury Football has previously established itself as one of the only FA registered B1 Centres in London, for young people that are either blind or partially sighted, and has been a front-runner in terms of delivering regular pan-disability sessions.

In a sector which often provides services at prohibitively high prices, our sessions are charged on a ‘pay-what-you-can’ basis. We never turn a child away due to their financial circumstances. Providing for all children, regardless of background, allows us to improve social cohesion in the London community. We have seen first-hand the friendships forged at our sessions, which span socioeconomic, national, and ethnic lines.

Football is a universal language, nothing else brings people together quite like it. Every child deserves the happiness of what playing with their friends can bring. Donate now to ensure that Bloomsbury can support more disabled young people through the power of Football.
