University Jewish Chaplaincy offers vital support to more than 8500 Jewish students at over 100 universities in 13 regions across the UK.
University Jewish Chaplaincy is proud to:
Over the past year, UJC has had a huge impact on the lives of Jewish students at UK universities, with students having accessed Chaplaincy services 24,134 times. Chaplains have served more than 6000 meals, spent over 1261 hours assisting students with different mental health concerns, supported over 100 students with incidents of antisemitism and have driven over 26,504 miles across the UK to ensure that even students on outlying campuses receive our support. We have also seen our reach expand, not least in Scotland where we increased our provision and appointed our first ever Chaplaincy couple to Edinburgh to work alongside our already established Chaplaincy couple in Glasgow.
Now, more than ever, Chaplains are supporting students on the frontline, as they deal with all the challenges that come along with student life - from loneliness and anxiety to ongoing incidents of antisemitism and intimidating anti-Israel activism. Ensuring that truly open, welcoming and non- judgemental Jewish provision continues across the UK is vital to the wellbeing of our students.
Our 19 Chaplains and Chaplaincy couples live on or around campuses across the UK. This ensures that they are always near to the students we support so they can truly offer a ‘home-away-from-home’. This provision is vital to the wellbeing and continuity of a vibrant, empowered and successful Jewish student community on campus.
University Jewish Chaplaincy relies entirely on support from parents, grandparents and the wider community who care passionately about Jewish students in the UK and their future.
Please help shine a spotlight on our students today and enable us reach our fundraising goal of at least £500,000. Every donation is DOUBLED for 36 hours only.
