Originally started close to 15 years ago, Chaverim  set out to help people who found themselves not knowing where to turn. A handful of good hearted men stocked themselves up with the basic equipment needed to handle the common calls e.g. flat batteries and house lock outs, and so Chaverim began…

Many years down the line, with multiple calls a day, Chaverim has taken on many new members as well as electing an efficient committee to streamline the service in order to offer the best assistance. with a team of capable volunteers spanning many different professions ranging from plumbers to shopkeepers, our response time is often under 5 minutes.

Stranded at the side of the road with a flat tyre or simply can’t open the kitchen drawer. Flat battery in the the morning and 
running late or coming home after a
long day to find the locks jammed. Sometimes you just need a “friend” to help out. be it the middle of the afternoon or early hours of the morning, Erev yom tov or Chol Hamoed, “Chaverim” is always on hand to help. You never know when that unexpected trouble creeps up, it alway seems to choose the most inconvenient times. When there is a power-cut on Erev Shabbos thoughts of a dark shabbos and eating cold food are flashing through your mind. boilers broken on a cold winter night or an unwelcome pet has taken up residency in your home, “chaverim” is always on hand keeping you warm, or on the go.

Members of Chaverim  are not professional mechanics or locksmiths. They are shop owners, businessmen, and kolel yungerleit and the like. They are your neighbors and your friends. 


Baruch Hashem as the Kehilla has grown so has Chaverim, we have forged great relationships with the local emergency services and are striving to becoming more professional and most importantly more capable. The goal is to be able to offer as many services as possible. In order for is to expand our services, we need a number things, 1) we need a secure storage facility with easy access to store our larger and more expensive equipment as well as stocking jerry cans, shovels and grit for the winter etc. 2)we desperately need to upgrade our basic kit of which some is 15/20 years old. 3) we need to train our members to be able to respond to any situation
