Since 2009, the Boys Clubhouse has provided a secure and safe haven for Jewish teenagers in crisis. It is often the place of last resort for adolescents who have become estranged from family and society. Many of these young men have suffered some form of personal trauma and some are victims of abuse. The Boys Clubhouse have proven that when given a second chance our young men can grow to be successful, contributing members of society.
The Boys Clubhouse’s wide range of programmes is designed to help each boy discover and make use of his individual strengths and abilities. Using patience and perseverance they create positive change and help these young men to acquire the skills they need to replace a sense of failure with success in their life ahead.
There is now a generation of former Clubhouse members who have jobs, careers, and stable families of their own. Some of them are now providing employment and mentoring to some of the younger adolescents.
Due to restrictions on social gatherings, we have been unable to hold our bi-annual Dinner which is usually our main source of funding. COVID has placed additional strain on our resources with a 35% increase in referrals. We are therefore reaching out to the community to help us by supporting our first ever online campaign.
Thanks to our generous matchers, every donation will be doubled throughout the campaign. We thank you in advance for your generosity.
