During covid, breast cancer treatment has stood still. It is estimated that over 1.5 million people did not receive their scans, chemotherapy treatment was curtailed, and vital surgery did not happen. Treatment waiting time for those with a diagnosis has increased - the breast cancer community is in crisis.
Future Dreams is a breast cancer charity that supports those touched by breast cancer. Founded in 2008 by mother and daughter, Sylvie Henry and Danielle Leslie, who were both diagnosed with the disease. They never wanted anyone to feel like they were going through breast cancer alone.
On October 31st – 1st November Future Dreams is appealing to all those touched by Breast cancer in a fundraising campaign to ensure the charity can continue pledging funds towards its three divisions: support, awareness and research, focusing on secondary breast cancer and securing the future of Future Dreams House.
The target Future Dreams hope to raise is £1.4M in 36 hours with donations being doubled up to £1.2M through generous match funding. The charity needs £2m per annum to be able to meet the ever-growing needs to support all those touched by breast cancer. The much-needed funds will potentially save a life, helping thousands of men, women and their families into the future. Our work never stops – and your generosity will make a difference to thousands of lives.
