For the past 25 years, I’ve dedicated myself to improving the lives of deaf people. People who have to overcome obstacles every day in our hearing world and who, without specialist support, would be isolated, lonely and neglected.

Within our community, the numbers of deaf and hard of hearing people continues to grow at an exponential rate.

I am so proud that JDA is such a highly respected charity. Where we go, others follow. When nobody else can help, we move mountains and find a way. And when no service exists, we create one to meet people’s needs.

Nobody else can do what we do.

And now we need your help to keep our 40 crucial services running – from enabling our children to lead the amazing lives they deserve, to ensuring deaf patients and medical staff can understand each other, to being there for a profoundly deaf 96 year old man who is scared and needs someone to care for him as he reaches the end of his life.

We have the best reputation and unwavering commitment.  And every time we help someone, it is thanks to the support of wonderful people – like you.

We can’t do any of what we do without you.

Please support us today as generously as you can. Your donation will help us to prevent crises, respond to emergencies and ensure nobody has to cope alone.

Thank you.

Sue

This weekend is the JDA’s Crowdfunding Campaign and every donation made is doubled by a group of generous donors.  We are reaching out to ask you to donate today to this incredible charity that has supported Toby and our family.

When we first discovered that Toby was deaf, the JDA was there for us during those early difficult months.  As Toby gets older, we look forward to participating in the activities that the JDA organises for deaf children and their families.  JDA family services brings families together, helps acoustically treat classrooms, provides deaf awareness sessions in schools and organises fantastic social events.

But this charity provides so much more to deaf and deaf blind children and adults across the country, Jewish and not Jewish.  Life would be overwhelmingly difficult without the expert help of JDA - the only organisation in the Jewish community enabling people who are deaf, deafblind or hard of hearing to overcome barriers and live life to the full.

Your donation will make a huge difference to other families just like ours, so thank you so much for your support!

The JDA is a small, independent, national charity that ensures that every deaf person – young, old and everyone in between, of all faiths and backgrounds – has the support needed to overcome everyday barriers and live happy lives.

I am the third generation Chair of the JDA. It is part of our family.

With costs continuing to rise steeply, we need to raise funds to sustain our services and meet the ever-increasing demand for them.

I am as always so grateful for your support.

This weekend is the JDA’s Crowdfunding Campaign and every donation made is doubled by a group of generous donors.  We are reaching out to ask you to donate today to this wonderful charity.

When we discovered that Gemma was deaf, the JDA was the first place we turned to and it has been there for us ever since.  When Gemma was recently critically ill, the JDA was like a second family to us, supporting us throughout.

Over the past 25 years our whole family has become committed to this unique charity who offer specialist support and care to the deaf, deaf blind and hard of hearing people who are solely reliant on the JDA.

Your donation will make a huge difference to other families like ours and to the wider deaf community.

Thank you so much for your support!

As a trustee of JDA, this wonderful charity is very close to our hearts.

Deaf people are navigating a world in which they have no compass - they often do not have the ability to understand everyday issues we all take for granted and this can lead to feelings of isolation, loneliness, depression and, at times, destitution.

Within our community the numbers of deaf and hard of hearing continues to grow at an exponential rate.

And this is where JDA steps in, with expertise and excellence accumulated over almost 75 years that NO ONE ELSE can provide.

JDA is an incredible charity that always goes above and beyond.  Now it needs your help to keep its 40 crucial services running – from supporting families and schools to providing expert care for older people in care homes, hospitals, out in the community and in their own homes.

In the past year alone, they've impacted 2,500 lives – babies, children, adults and families across the Jewish community.

JDA is the benchmark for Deaf Service provision. But they can’t do it without our support.

With the power of the whole community joining together and jointly INvesting in JDA, they will raise much needed funds to help cover costs for the next 12 months of operation.

We hope you’re IN, because we certainly are!

I have grown up within the deaf community and seen first -hand how lonely and debilitating it can be for a deaf person of any age in a hearing world.

With this in mind, the JDA works tirelessly for equal rights, educational access and healthcare for the benefit of those who are too often unheard members of our society.

Thank you for visiting my page and for supporting JDA.

JDA would like to thank all our generous anonymous Matchers

For a deaf person living in a hearing world, life can be very challenging.

JDA is here to provide people who would otherwise be disadvantaged by their deafness with all the support they need to overcome their daily challenges and enjoy the things in life that hearing people take for granted.

We help deaf people access services, gain employment, enjoy lifelong friendships, be valued members of our community and stay safe, well, mentally stable and happy.

Our expert staff and volunteers look after vulnerable older Deaf and Deafblind signers, including those living with dementia, giving them loving care through later life, and until their end of life.

No-one else can do what do we do.

In the past year alone, we have supported 2,500 people – children, adults and families – from little baby Henry (aged two months) to Great-grandpa Monty, aged 104 years!

Every deaf person who turns to us is IN our wonderful, supportive community – with a sense of belonging they cannot get elsewhere.  That’s what they mean when they say I’m In!

Please show you’re in too by making a donation today.
