When families are struggling, they don’t always say it out loud.
Often, it shows up in quieter ways - a child who stops playing, a home that feels different, a parent holding more than they can manage alone.

At the Jewish Family Centre (JFC), we listen for what isn’t being said.

We are the Jewish community’s one-stop hub for families, supporting parents, children and carers through both everyday challenges and moments of real difficulty. From early years activities to complex family support, we provide a culturally sensitive, welcoming space where families feel seen, understood, and supported.

Founded in 2000, JFC began as a place for families to connect - through stay-and-play sessions, holiday activities, and community programmes. Today, we have grown into something much more: a vital support system for families navigating emotional, financial, and practical challenges, often before those challenges become crises.

Because when struggles go unheard, they don’t disappear - they grow.

There is no other charity in the community providing this level of holistic, wraparound care under one roof. And the need has never been greater. In 2025 alone, we received 195 new referrals - each one a family reaching out, often after a period of silent struggle.

With your support, we can be there sooner - listening, responding, and helping families find their way forward.

Every donation helps us support families in real, practical ways, including:

  • Helping parents navigate complex systems, from CAMHS referrals to education support
  • Standing alongside families during safeguarding concerns or after traumatic incidents
  • Advocating for children with undiagnosed or unmet additional needs
  • Providing safe, supported environments for supervised contact between parents and children
  • Offering emotional and therapeutic support to help families rebuild stability and confidence

In just 36 hours, we are aiming to raise £350,000 to ensure that more families don’t have to struggle in silence - and that more children can feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves again.
