When British Jews are looking for a home to feel safe and secure they look to JW3.
When displaced Israeli families were looking for a home away from home, they looked to JW3.
Now more than ever, your community needs JW3 to provide opportunities to come together in a safe, welcoming and homely space.
We are currently welcoming over 70 Israeli families daily, providing them with play activities for young children and a space for adults to come together, to eat, chat and share with one another. These families tell us that they feel safe and accepted here and there are many more families in need of help and support on the waiting list. Our weekly community briefings also take place every Friday morning, with a different guest speaker every week.
On 27 and 29 October, JW3 held a poignant installation to raise awareness of the Israeli hostages. The Empty Shabbat Table was attended by over 1,000 people and JW3 received unprecedented press and millions of views of coverage across TV news, print newspapers, online, radio and social media. You can see a brief clip of my speech above and a clip of the beautiful rendition of 'Bring them home' in our main video at the top of the page.
We will continue to respond to ensure that we lift people's spirits, engage their minds, and nourish their souls.
And we need your support today to do this.
On 21-22 November 2023 we are holding an online fundraising campaign to raise £100,000.
Any amount that you can give through this campaign will be doubled (up to a total of £100,000), helping even more people to come together, strengthen their identities, and build community.
