Legadel steps in to ensure that small problems don’t become life-long issues.

Children who have learning difficulties are more likely to struggle with mental health than their peers, are less likely to have friends and to engage in social activities and are more likely to struggle with employment later in life.

Legadel reaches children who struggle in school, who do not qualify for government support and who would otherwise be overlooked and left behind. Providing intervention at this early stage allows children to thrive rather than suffer through their school years and enables them to leave school with their self-esteem intact.

We offer a range of therapies tailored to the child’s needs, including Speech and Language therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Specialist Literacy and Numeracy interventions as well as Executive Function skills.

As well as individual, one-to one therapy we are starting to offer group work covering areas such as sensory integration, social communication and more.  

Our interventions help children to reduce their learning and social struggles, enabling them to become confident, emotionally secure and resilient.

We know the trajectory for children whose learning difficulties are untreated or overlooked and we work to turn this around, ensuring that no child falls through the cracks and every child has the chance to succeed.
