A terrible tragedy – R’Nissan Moishe Silver Z’L formerly of Golders Green, London

A young father passed away after suffering a short few months with illness.

A young family left bereft and alone – a young wife & three children.

We appeal to YOU compassionate classmates from Pardes House and Tiferes Shloime, close friends from Shul, kinsmen from Golders Green, to help the family set up a trust fund to support Nissan Moishe’s wife and their 3 young children in a dignified manner. Nissan Moishe himself became the source of strength and devotion for his brothers when their mother died during his engagement period and continued to be their role model and anchor when they married. We entreat you all dear friends not to let his young family down, let us show them how deeply we feel their pain and empathise with their heartrending situation, by opening our hearts and giving as generously as we can, to help alleviate their abject situation.

We, his friends, and classmates, who knew him throughout his life which was filled with Torah and Mitzvos, and his family, recognised his greatness, his pleasant ways, and can testify to his noble character. He was a man who sat and learned diligently day and night. A man who was always ready to encourage all those around him with a smile and good word. A man who was always prepared to inspire a youth who so sorely needed someone to learn with him and to back him up.

Just a few short months ago, R’ Nissan Moshe started suffering from excruciating headaches. Which doctor could be bothered to investigate headaches when the whole country was gripped in the throes of the corona pandemic?? By the time doctors investigated his chronic headaches properly, it was too late to treat it….

This precious diamond, even in its darkest hours, did not lose its shine. Throughout the difficult treatments and despite his unbearable pain, R’ Nissan Moshe never wavered in his Faith in our Creator, and constantly encouraged his family to stay strong in their belief that H-ashem will help.

After the devastating levaya, it very quickly became painfully obvious that there was no income at all to speak of!.

Right now, while the mother is still sitting with fresh tears on her face, and her children are wandering from room to room searching for their missing father, now is the time to set up a Trust Fund to comfort them by by setting them up with some security. We cannot bring back their father to them– but at least let us give them some desperately needed support!

We cannot abandon them in their distress! We must rally to help them!

This poor young, widowed lady has nothing with which to feed her 3 young children! We must open our hearts to her pain, sorrow, and terrible situation. Only in this way can we alleviate a bit of her agony; and comfort this family at this very tragic time in their lives!

In this merit may we know no more sorrow!
