At Prospect Hospice our aim is to ensure every person who needs specialist end of life care receives our support when they need it most. Your donation is vital to help us achieve this.

For the last 40 years, Prospect Hospice has been providing care and support to people with a life limiting or terminal illness in Swindon and north east Wiltshire. Last year alone we supported almost 2,500 patients and their families.

We do this totally free of charge because we know that excellent end of life care should not depend on how much money someone has or where they live.

However, we can’t continue to do this without your help and we want to say ‘thanks a million’ for the support you have given us over the last 40 years, but today we need you more than ever.

The people who we have supported will tell you that Prospect Hospice is different to many organisations; we treat the patient, not just their illness.

We care for people where they want to be cared for, when they want to be cared for and make sure their care is individually tailored to meet their specific needs.

We also know that supporting their family, and those they love, is as important as treating the patient themselves because we recognise our patients want to know the people they care about are looked after too.

Our care and support comes in many different forms. It might be at our hospice in Wroughton with our inpatient team, in a patient’s own home or care home supported by our community nurse specialists or our therapy team, or it might be care and advice from our family support team with one to one sessions or as part of a group. The truth is it’s likely to be all of these if that’s what’s needed.

Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, we’ve redesigned the way we work to care for more people in their own homes surrounded by their loved ones, but now we need your help urgently to reach more people who need our care.

We can only do this with your help.

As a charity, we rely on the generous donations of our supporters to help fund all that we do so that we can support people at the most difficult time of their lives.

With annual running costs of £8million, we simply can’t do what we do, without you. So, please help us to help someone in urgent need of our care today.

Thanks a million!
