HIPE stands for Hasmonean Informal Programmes and Education and is at the heart of Hasmonean. As the informal education department of a thriving school, HIPE energises and engages students with dynamic educators and exciting programmes enthusing students to understand that Yiddishkeit is a powerful, positive force.
This Purim HIPE have chosen not to raise money for their own informal department but to empower their students to be ambassadors and givers to the wider Jewish Kehilla. Purim this year is anything but usual but with HIPE UNITE, Hasmonean unites the entire community virtually.
HIPE UNITE is raising money for 19 charities to counter covid-19. Each of the selected organisations are fundamental services to our community and have a deep connection to Hasmonean and our students.
These selected organisations have been on the front line in helping all aspects of the community especially in this last challenging year. Hasmonean would like to show its gratitude to these organisations through HIPE UNITE. Some 400 students across both the boys’ and girls’ school have volunteered to take a page on this campaign and some have even created an online spiel or completed a sponsored challenge to raise funds.
When reaching our initial goal Target the money will be shared with HIPE
