Rambam Hospital - Advance Preparation

The State of Israel is confronting its darkest hours, facing significant challenges that have brought considerable suffering to our nation. However, we remain determined and confident that, united, we will overcome these adversities.

Rambam Health Care Campus is already caring for wounded civilians and soldiers who have been brought to our hospital from the Southern and Northern borders. Rambam is a strategic asset for Israel and as such, in coordination with the IDF Home Front Command and the Ministry of Health, we are preparing our Fortified Underground Emergency Hospital to receive large numbers of injured patients from all over the country.

Rambam is the largest hospital in the North and the only level 1 trauma center, the highest such designation. In the event the level of conflict in the North escalates, injured soldiers and civilians will be brought to Rambam's secure underground fortified facility for treatment. Designed based on lessons learned from the Second Lebanon War, the facility has the capacity to treat thousands of patients.

Advance preparation is crucial to our ability to provide optimal, professional care to our patients, especially during these chaotic, unpredictable times, and will help Rambam to be prepared for whatever the future holds.
