Help us raise £200,000 in just 36 hours!

Rowcroft Hospice in South Devon needs your help for a 36-hour fundraising appeal – Every Moment Matters - to raise £200,000 to provide specialist palliative and end-of-life care for people living with life-limiting illnesses. You can double your donation by giving to the appeal during the 36-hour window starting at 10am on Sunday 22 February  – when all donations will be matched-funded thanks to the generosity of local businesses and individuals.

At the heart of the appeal is a simple but powerful message: every moment matters. It’s the philosophy that guides Rowcroft in helping people make the most of precious time with loved ones.

Hospices across the UK are struggling with huge financial challenges, with two in five cutting services and some even closing beds. Rowcroft too is feeling the pressure – with increased costs, low government funding (just 24%) and a growing demand for end-of-life care. Last April’s increases in National Insurance and the National Living Wage are adding to the significant challenges, creating an additional £225,000 of annual costs for the hospice. Rowcroft’s teams are committed to giving the very best care at the end-of-life, but the increased financial pressures facing us as a charity mean that we can’t always be there.
