For over 40 years Seed has empowered tens of thousands of parents to build a proud and committed Jewish identity for both themselves and for the next generation. Today, we ask for your help to make more “miraculous Jewish journeys” happen.
Over the past year we have delivered an enormous array of innovative online programmes and creative hands-on packs to guide, inspire and engage families during these challenging COVID times, with over 90,000 virtual and in-person attendances.
We have delivered live-streamed sessions with renowned international speakers, parenting panels on topical subjects and a range of Jewish learning courses. We spearheaded an incredible 24-Hour Global Challah Bake, reaching over 6,000 homes in 19 countries. Families continue to learn, study and grow in their Judaism.
We created and distributed over 3,800 hands-on family packs such as our Purim ‘Spread a Smile’ initiative and ‘Benny and Bella’s Seder Adventure’. Throughout COVID, we have continued to deliver ‘life tools for Jewish families’, equipping parents to raise their children in our complex world with a wholesome belief in themselves and strong Jewish values.
By offering predominantly online programming, closing our offices and making use of the government furlough scheme we have reduced our annual running costs to £1.5 million.
However, today we are facing a shortfall of £1 million.
It is only with your support that we can make more miraculous Jewish journeys happen.
