As we surpass our original Challenge Accepted! target, we have an opportunity to accept yet another challenge through a matched bonus round.

There is a waiting list of children for Shalva’s respite programme which allows children to have a hugely enjoyable supervised sleep-over at Shalva with their friends, self-care and independent-living skills training. For parents, this means a 36-hour respite period each week, to care for themselves and their families and to rejuvenate their spirits. For many families coping with raising a child with disabilities at home, this program has proven to be nothing short of a lifesaver.
Please consider sponsoring a year of sleepovers for a child with a gift of £2,500 per child.More ...

Shalva is dedicated to providing the highest quality care to thousands of individuals with disabilities, every day; empowering them and their families to have the best quality of life possible.

Based in the heart of Jerusalem, Shalva is non-denominational and with programmes from birth through to adulthood, is at the forefront of disability care.

Shalva is dedicated to breaking boundaries on every front; providing innovative therapy and support models that are not just benefitting the people of Israel but those in need across the globe. An ever-increasing number of countries and healthcare providers turn to Shalva for advice, guidance and to collaborate on research projects.

Over the past two years, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused Shalva’s participants to face the greatest challenge of their lives - suffering disproportionally due to severe social isolation and rehabilitative regression.

At the same time, the ability to raise the funds so desperately needed has been severely hampered by pandemic related restrictions. This, coupled with Shalva not being able to rely on its revenue generation (we have an incredible restaurant, sport centre and band) for close to TWO years, has put the organisation under immense financial pressure.

To ensure that all of Shalva’s children and adults receive the vital therapies, programmes and support they need, please ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE and donate as generously as you can.
