Swords of Iron: UK’s Response
- In loving memory of David Meir z"l -
On Simchat Torah, we in the UK received heart-wrenching updates from Israel, witnessing a tragedy the likes of which hasn't been seen in half a century.
October 7th was a dark and profoundly sombre day. The pain is palpable, as many of us have personal connections to those affected by these acts of savagery. Some might know victims, those injured, or individuals summoned for reserve duty, especially along the Gazan or Lebanese borders.
This touches everyone.
Though we might feel distant and powerless in the UK, our desire to help remains strong. The cruel attacks have left countless families in southern Israel without homes, grieving losses or anxious for missing loved ones.
We present an avenue to directly aid the families hit hardest. Your donation will support relocation, basic necessities, funeral costs, and crucial emotional support.
Our goal is to raise 9.7 million ILS / 2m GBP. These funds go directly to the affected families via the social welfare departments of the municipalities of Be’er Sheva, Ofakim, Sderot, Ashkelon, Eshkol, Hof Ashkelon, Sdot Negev and Sha’ar Ha’Negev.
Please, contribute as you can.
This campaign is organised by the Schimmel, Kanter and Corin families.
