The Nicky is a project of Manchester Jewish Community Care, a registered charity. Without doubt it is the best social club in Manchester for more mature members of the Jewish community and those who need a little extra support .
We provide a lifeline for our members and help eliminate loneliness, offering an exciting and stimulating range of activities with opportunities to meet old friends and make new ones in a warm and friendly environment. We’ve been described as the best youth club around for older people. Our members can join in a host of activities from discussion groups, arts and crafts and computers classes to yoga, keep-fit, card and board games and even table tennis. Our caring team also supports our members’ every needs.
Transport is provided to and from The Nicky, when required and our members enjoy a hot, kosher, three-course lunch followed by entertainment on the four days we are open.
We offer all this for £25.50 a day where, in reality, we subsidise over £90 per member for each time they attend. But it’s worth every penny because our service is unique and makes a difference to so many peoples’ lives.
We intend to offer this service well into the future but we need the support of the community to support those who have supported us in the past.
Please donate generously so we can continue offering this valuable and indispensable service.
