The Warehouse is a not-for-profit organization using self-defence training and mental wellbeing support to empower the next generation of Jews to become physically and mentally resilient.

In response to the 589% increase in anti-semitic incidents since October 7, many Jews have felt the need to hide their identity. At The Warehouse, we are determined to change this. Established in 2022 by young volunteers, we serve over 1,500 monthly attendees through diverse, heavily subsidized self-defence classes.

Our growth has been remarkable, expanding from 5 sessions weekly in 2022 to 85 as of May 2024. We partner with Jewish charities and schools as well to equip students with the skills and confidence to stand proud as Jews. Our programs address the growing anti-semitism and mental health crisis, providing essential support where it is needed most.

In addition to self-defence, we are an early support hub, offering comprehensive mental wellbeing support. Recognizing that 1 in 4 individuals in the UK struggle with mental health and face an 18-week waitlist for NHS support, we provide immediate access to mental health resources, workshops, focus group sessions, events and one-on-one counselling. Our holistic approach ensures that participants build not only physical resilience but also the mental resilience needed to thrive amidst adversity.
