The 3G pitch at Manchester Maccabi is of huge importance to the community; over 1,000 people from across Manchester use it every single week, ranging in age from 7 - 70! Those who use our pitch include a Walking Football section, members who have learning difficulties, school children, young children just starting out in football and professional local football clubs, to name but a few.

The club work closely with the Football Foundation, who are committed to funding half of the cost of this project, the total cost being £120,000. You kindly helped us raise £30,000 at last year’s 24-hour challenge so we need to raise the same again this year and then we’re ready to go!

This 24-hour challenge starts at 11pm running THROUGH THE NIGHT until 11pm the following night! It will be a great spectacle for everyone involved and for spectators.

Manchester Maccabi Community and Sports Club is quite possibly the most important communal Jewish building outside of London. The club has never been in such a strong position. It has five thriving sports sections:

- Football, which now has 20 junior teams and 3 senior teams. The 1st team being the current National Jewish Champions! It also now has its very first women's team.

- Krav Maga, which has now grown so popular it frequently attracts members outside the Jewish community.

- Table Tennis, which continues to thrive and build on its youthful (and old!) members.

- Rounders & Netball which also continue to attract younger female participants.

Later this year the building is being refurbed and extended, to house UJIA's northern team and also create additional space for other local charities and organisations to join us. The building will be renamed Maccabi Mamlock House, paying tribute to the building where so many people spent their Jewish youth in Manchester.
