Bikur Cholim of Manhattan is a local organization with global impact. A single act of giving to BCM today creates a ripple effect of kindness to those in need from around the world. 

Our four beautifully furnished apartments with kosher facilities in the heart of Manhattan near Mount Sinai East are a comfortable oasis for patient families, many of whom arrive in Manhattan from distant locations. 

Our first apartment on the West Side of Manhattan for patient families at Mount Sinai West has been in continual use since opening earlier this year. 

Building on this successful initiative and to satisfy a recognized need, plans are already underway to fund a second apartment near Mount Sinai West in the coming year.

BCM distributes worldwide, with discretion and much due diligence, hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to cover financial expenses for health needs, including doctor appointments, medical procedures and therapy sessions. 

Our 100 percent volunteer staff also provides visits and advocacy for hospital patients, programs for senior citizens and food packages for those who find it difficult to acquire and prepare their own food. 

With financial requests coming in daily, our apartments in such high demand and expansion plans underway, and our homebound seniors relying on our services, it is our legacy, mission and vision to continue spreading kindness around the world with dignity and heart.
