Ben Uri changes and enriches lives through using art differently.

Mental Health: Over the past 10 years our pioneering Mental Health initiative has developed considerable weight. We have worked with university and medical professorial leaders in research and evaluation of our art programming to identify how most effectively we can engage with the growing 70+ demographic living often in social isolation and or with dementia.

We are ready to transform our programmes into films to maximise ready access to the demographic as a whole whether living at home or in care settings. Owing to Covid 19 access to older people is regularly restricted and central funding increasingly over-stretched. Transforming our current programmes into regular screen engagements is the most cost-effective means of accessing large numbers in need of constant mental stimulus. Our programmes enrich old people’s mental health.

Immigration / Refugees Research: Ben Uri surpasses ethnic, cultural and religious differences and obstacles to engagement within the visual arts, addresses contemporary and historical issues of identity and migration, and celebrates, researches and records the rich Jewish and immigrant contribution to the visual arts since 1900. This unique long erm project is well under way with over 300 research profiles published and a further 900 candidates from over 100 countries in progress. All made their mark enriching British art and visual culture. A key project within is the compilation of a unique resource researching and recording the Hitler Emigres to Britain within the visual arts.
