Broughton Jewish Cassel Fox Primary School started as a small cheder class of eight pupils in 1946 and today has 500 pupils on the roll.

The most striking feature of Broughton Jewish is how the School has stayed so true to the principles of its founding fathers.

In the aftermath of the Holocaust, Broughton Jewish’s founders were determined to set up a school which would be built firmly on the principles of Torah im derech eretz and at the same time, would ensure that each child’s individual needs were catered for following the principle of chanoch l’naar al pi darko.

The warmth and happiness of the children is immediately obvious when visiting the School. There are so many smiles to greet you as you walk along the corridors of Broughton Jewish. The School are extremely proud of the high standards of the pupils in both Kodesh and Secular subjects but what it is most proud of is the beautiful Midos Tovos of the children.

The School has grown exponentially over the last 15 years and in order to continue to deliver a quality Kodesh education, it needs to raise funds to supplement the income it receives form voluntary contributions.

As part of it’s expansion and development, Broughton Jewish is also now raising funds for 3 large capital projects. Firstly, we are building a specially designed Learning Hub. Included in this Learning Hub will be a sensory room, and therapy rooms for children to have Speech and Language Therapy, music therapy, art therapy and play therapy. All of this of this will be designed with those founding principles at heart: every child matters and every child deserves to be the best they can be.

Secondly, we are building a Beis Hamedrash. This will allow the children to combine all the learning that goes on with an attachment at an early age to the world of Torah and the Beis Hamedrash. The Beis Hamedrash has been carefully designed with this in mind and we are very excited to add this to the children’s wonderful experience here at Broughton Jewish.

Thirdly, we are building desperately needed new outdoor play areas throughout the school so that we can rebuild the outdoor provisions for each year group up to Year One and for the main school playground.

Please help us to reach our goal by donating to this campaign and your donation will be matched by our generous matchers.
