Elevating the Sefardic Torah World for Over Two Decades.

In the span of over twenty years, Zichron Binyamin/Kollel Ohel Rachel – better known as Rabbi Bitton’s Kollel- Lakewood– has elevated the landscape of the Sefardic Jewish community in the New York-New Jersey area and beyond.

It began with the vision of Rabbi Yosef Bitton Shlita to develop Sefardic talmidei chachamim who would toil in Torah and eventually become marbitzei Torah transforming the lives of their fellow Jews. This Kollel would focus not on how many yungeleit it could produce, but on their quality. With the hadracha and encouragement of Harav Elya Svei zt”l, Rabbi Bitton opened his Kollel, and now, over twenty years later, the results of his efforts and vision speak for themselves.

A soon-to-be-completed building that will be a home not only for Kollel Ohel Rachel, but a makom Torah for the broader Zichron Binyamin community, including tefillot and learning at all hours of the day
