Kollel Derech Chaim was founded in 2021 under the leadership of Rav Yossi Stilerman, talmid of HaGaon Rav Yitzchak Berkovits Shlita. The Kollel’s mission is to take serious and growth-oriented Yungeleit and give them the tools necessary to acquire a deep understanding of critical areas of Halacha and Hashkafa. 

The morning Seder in the Kollel currently focuses on learning Hilchos Shabbos B’iyun, where each of the Yungeleit learn the Sugya in depth with the goal of thoroughly understanding the Sugya as well as the practical Halachic applications. The Kollel also learns Mishna Berura Bekius, so that the Yungeleit acquire a wide breadth of knowledge in all of Hilchos Shabbos. In the afternoon, the Kollel is part of the Oraysa Amud Yomi program and is learning Meseches Pesachim, as well as having a Seder in the Ramchal’s Derech Hashem. 

One of the requirements to receive Smicha from the Kollel is that each of the Yungeleit must write an in-depth personalized Kuntres on the Sugyas the Kollel is learning. This Kuntres is an invaluable resource that the Yungeleit will take with them for the rest of their lives. 

The Kollel strongly encourages the Yungeleit to eventually take what they have learned and use it to help other Yidden come closer to Avinu Shebashamayim, and to make an impact in Kehillos throughout the world. 

The Kollel is hosted by Kehilla Kedosha Beis Shlomo in Ramat Eshkol and enjoys the use of its state-of-the-art facility as a comfortable and welcoming home.
