The Heimishe Kitchen was set up over 2 years ago in conjunction with Care and Share to supply ready cooked meals to local families in Golders Green, Hendon and Finchley.
We offer our services every week to families that need help with cooking and preparing their own food , due to personal circumstances that are beyond their control, whatever they may be.
Our delicious meals are prepared by local volunteers who come to our central commercial kitchen 3 times a week to cook up our suppers and Shabbos food.
All food is professionally cared for and is licensed kosher to the highest standards.
We have 6 different menus for suppers and full menus for Shabbos including starters and desserts.
The fresh food is then packed with care and prepared for our discreet delivery team.
The packages are picked up and delivered to the front door of the families that will be on our list for that particular day.
We prepare hundreds of fresh portions a week through our dedicated team.
We also give out cakes for Shabbos and other food help when needed.
We need your help in supplying the raw goods to our kitchen and are asking the whole community to help us raise the funds needed to continue this important project, helping feed our neighbours with dignity and respect.
