Some quick facts about Hershy’s Kimcha D’Pischa & Oneg Yom Tov

Established: Pesach 2022

In the wake of Covid, many families in our community faced serious financial strain, and Hershy’s Kimcha De’Pischa & Oneg Yom Tov was established to help ensure they could prepare for Yom Tov with dignity. For many, the already tight day-to-day budget collapses entirely under the heavy burden of Yom Tov expenses.

Hershy’s support became a vital lifeline, allowing families to celebrate Yom Tov with joy and grace.

Grants: 800+

We have since given out over 800 grants to nearly 300 local families in need, supporting more than 1,000 children.
These are families from our own community, your brother, neighbor, chavrusa, and friends, who rely on this support to celebrate Yomim Tovim with dignity.

Aid: Yom Tov Essentials

Before Pesach, families receive vouchers and store credits for food stores, covering meat, fish, groceries, fruits & vegetables, matzos, and other Yom Tov essentials.
Before Sukkos, vouchers are provided for national and local clothing stores, helping families purchase shoes and clothing for the children for Yom Tov and the winter season.

How: Discreet vouchers / credit

Families receive vouchers and store credits directly, allowing them to purchase food, clothing, and essentials just like any family.
This ensures complete privacy and dignity, so every family can celebrate Yom Tov without worry or embarrassment.
