Ohr Chadash Girls School
Founded in 2004 as a small in-home childcare program, Ohr Chadash has grown and expanded over the years to become our community’s first and only Jewish Montessori school.  In 2018, Ohr Chadash became an official private school serving children ages three through six in its unique mixed-age classroom.  Until now, Ohr Chadash has been serving  small number of families, quietly nurturing its students along a path of independent learning and self-motivation, while instilling a life-long love of learning and connection.  As our community has grown so has word of our unique approach to Jewish education!  As we look forward to the 2022-23 school year, it is time for us to grow as well.  We will be opening our Lower Elementary classroom in order to allow our students to continue learning in the Jewish Montessori framework they have come to love.

Individualized learning
Jewish Montessori schools are designed to help each student discover and develop her unique talents and possibilities. We treat each child as a unique, individual learner. In Jewish Montessori classrooms, children learn at their own pace, and learn in the ways that work best for them as individuals.  Ohr Chadash strives to nurture and inspire the human potential, leading children to ask questions, think for themselves, explore, investigate, and discover. Our ultimate objective is to help our  students to learn how to learn independently, retaining the curiosity, creativity, and intelligence with which they were born. In our classrooms, children are given individual and small group lessons with plenty of hands-on activities to practice on their own as they work to achieve mastery of each concept.  This approach allows our educators to truly individualize each and every child’s curriculum, allowing each girl to shine!
