What’s at the core of our Kehilla?

Halacha. Hashkafa. Hadracha. 

Everyday solutions that individuals don’t need to think twice about. They exist because the need existed. 

For over 11 years, Kehilla Services, a branch of Kehillas Federation, has been the solution for the NW London community and way further afield, creating vital communal infrastructure and support. 

Led by the Av Beis Din Rav S.F. Zimmerman and the esteemed Dayonim, each service was launched as the need arose. Behind it all are dedicated Rabbanim and Poskim who provide real halachic answers for the Kehilla. 

ShailaText: ShailaText receives over 20,000 shailos annually, with 5,000 received during the summer season alone. Rabbonim reply to each shaila in an average of 1.5 working hours. 

MaaserText: This innovative solution allows one to take maaser from Israeli produce easily, with the automated text service giving one-time access to the Federation's maaser coin. 

The Golders Green Eruv: Rabbi Zimmerman spearheaded the development of the new Golders Green Eruv 2 years ago. Since opening last year, hundreds of local families benefit weekly, enhancing their shabbos.

Asking for a Friend Podcast: Featuring Kehillas Federation Dayonim addressing relevant topics from a Torah perspective openly and with clarity, this podcast has racked up over 85,000 hours streamed since its launch just over 6 months ago. 

FedTech: Led by Rabbi YM Guttentag, FedTech works with appliance manufacturers to guide the Kehilla on how to use appliances and has now developed a list of certified appliances, ensuring buyers can use “Shabbos mode” as advertised with confidence.

The impact of Kehilla Services is obvious — a kehilla now has answers in so many areas of yiddishkeit affecting daily life. These services are accessible to everyone and free of charge.
