Keren is a lifesaving organisation within the Manchester Kehillah, dedicated to supporting girls aged 12-24 who are facing challenges. Our mission is to ensure that no girl has to suffer in silence, offering compassionate, confidential, and consistent support.

We help girls navigate difficulties such as low self-esteem, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, eating disorders, and, in some cases, the trauma of abuse. While much of our work focuses on prevention, many girls struggle deeply with their mental health. Over half of the girls we support experience anxiety, and a significant number battle suicidal ideation. These challenges can be overwhelming, making our role as a safe, supportive space all the more critical.

Keren is often the only place these girls can turn to for practical, emotional, and therapeutic support. We have become the anchor in their lives, helping them build resilience, make healthier choices, and believe in their potential. Our data supports this.

In these turbulent times, our services are needed more than ever. However, to meet the growing demand and continue our essential work, we need to raise £360,000 to cover our budget for the next 18 months. Without these funds, we will be forced to reduce our services, leaving vulnerable girls without the critical support they rely on to stay safe and work towards their wellbeing.

With your support, we can continue to prevent, support, and empower these incredible girls, helping them turn their challenges into stepping stones towards a brighter future.
