Infertility is a deeply personal and often isolating journey—a roller coaster of hope, heartbreak, and silent suffering. For many couples, the emotional toll is overwhelming, leaving them drained and struggling to find the strength to try again. Founded six years ago, Keren Ohr is one of the few chesed organizations in Israel providing couples with a safe, quiet space to pause, grieve, and find the strength to continue their journey through infertility, IVF treatments, as well as after miscarriage and stillbirth.

Keren Ohr began with one retreat outside Beit Shemesh. Today, it has grown into six peaceful respite homes across Israel—in Neve Michael, Tzfas, Ashkelon, and Netanya—offering couples the chance to rest, breathe, and reconnect. Each location provides a brief but vital pause in a long and draining process.

Keren Ohr has also developed additional support programs: The Comfort Zone connects couples with trained mentors who have experienced infertility themselves. Nourish delivers warm meals during treatment days. The Rest Stop lends out books, games, and Jewish films, paired with thoughtful care packages—small gestures that bring comfort at the hardest moments.

For the hundreds of couples who turn to Keren Ohr, these services aren’t luxuries—they’re lifelines. Each one offers strength, care, and the fuel to keep moving forward.
