Who We Are

Migdal Ohr, Israel's largest welfare non-profit educational network, has been transforming lives for over 50 years. Led by our visionary founder, Rabbi Yitzchak Dovid Grossman, and recipient of the Israel Prize, we provide essential programmes and critical services to over 12,000 orphaned, impoverished, or at-risk children annually. Our mission is to make a lasting impact on the future of Israel.

Our comprehensive facilities include day-care centres, preschools, primary and secondary schools, vocational schools, academic institutions, boarding schools, foster homes, and after-school clubs. We embrace children from diverse backgrounds, including orphans and those with special educational needs. Our student body represents a rich tapestry of religious and secular backgrounds, ethnicities, and diaspora communities. Whether they are native Israelis or recent immigrants, residents of Migdal ha'Emek or from different parts of Israel, we create a warm and supportive environment that nurtures their growth and development.

At Migdal Ohr, we provide more than just basic necessities. We offer a loving home that encompasses accommodation, meals, clothing, and healthcare. Additionally, we equip our students with vocational and academic training, educational opportunities, and cultural activities. Our curriculum also emphasises Jewish and Zionist values, fostering a sense of identity and connection to their heritage.

Our Goal

At Migdal Ohr, we firmly believe that no child is lost in foster care or left to navigate life alone. This year, our goal is to build dormitories in our youth villages, providing a home for 400 former students who have nowhere else to go. With your support, we can continue raising generations of dignified, capable adults who defy the odds and contribute positively to society.

Due to the current political impasse in Israel, the reduction in state aid has put a strain on our resources. Now, more than ever, we rely on the generosity of donors like you to provide a warm, loving family home, counselling, therapy, and other critical services to our precious Migdal Ohr children.
