It is with an immense amount of pride that I think about Sacks Morasha as we embark on the next chapter.

15 years ago when we set the school up, little did I know what a thriving community it would generate and develop. Little did I imagine how brilliantly our children, our parents, our teachers would do.  Little did I realise how much the school would mean to so many people.  Little did I realise how much its success would mean to me on a personal basis.

Over the next 36 hours Sacks Morasha is running ‘Match for Morasha’, a matched fundraising campaign to raise £300,000 to complete an extension to the school building.  I am pleased to be a "matcher" and rely on each of you to ensure that the school gets the full benefit of the matching donation by donating yourself. 

This money raised will help provide the school with:
-2 brand new classrooms
-Enhanced SEND provision
-Breakout rooms for group and one-on-one learning support
-Facilities for pastoral care
-Better equipped playground

Now as we embark on the next chapter to make sure our school is fit for the 21st century, please help us complete our building and Match for Morasha.

As many of you know, Rob and I set up Sacks Morasha 14 years ago with five other families. It has been our baby - one we are very proud of.

So many families, teachers and community leaders have played a part in making it the special school it is. 

Sacks Morasha has given us so much too - not just in educating our three children - two of whom have now completed their time here but also for us.  We have built friends for life, a community that we can rely on even once our children leave.  

We really want other children and families to enjoy what we gained and benefitted from such a special place.  

Having three boys and a son with SEND needs - we know first hand what the additional space will mean for all children.  The opportunity to play football and run around, have the quiet space to learn away from the bustling classrooms, get the additional support from external providers like OT, speech therapists etc.

We know you may not have a child that has gone or will go to Sacks Morasha - but by supporting us - with as little or as much as you can - will mean other children like ours can have the support they need and we can secure a future for the community.

They say "It takes a village to raise a child" and for many, Sacks Morasha has been that village.

Our target is £300,000.

I am fiercely proud of our school, our students and our staff – proud of what we bring to the community,
I am constantly amazed at what we are able to achieve in the facilities we have; but at the moment we have 209 students and as many as 60 are studying in temporary portakabins.
We are constantly competing to get the best out of our students and our staff.

Our building project will give us more classrooms; will give us breakout spaces for more dynamic programming. We will have dedicated facilities for students with special educational needs. We will have a better equipped playground.
