Ner Chodesh is a warm and inclusive Shul which offers Minyanim and Shiurim for the local community in Prestwich, Manchester. The Shul is led by Rabbi Boruch Krasner שליטא, who also teaches Kodesh in the local Yavneh School.

Our Shul is proud of its diverse membership with members and attendees from a variety of backgrounds. With our friendly atmosphere and of course, a Kiddush after davening, we are the place to be on Shabbos morning!

The Shul also welcomes a number of local boys and bochurim who come to daven in our Shul, both together with the main minyan and in the Boys Minyan on Shabbos afternoon.

When Covid hit, Ner Chodesh was forced to relocate from our first location in the upstairs Beis Hamedrash in Holy Law, to a marquee in the garden of our very generous hosts - Shmuli and Racheli Bass, on Albert Avenue. Through Manchester weather, week in, week out, our Shul has continued, holding fast to its spirited Shabbos davening and even managing to hold on to its roof in howling gale force winds!!

In the coming months, we are hoping to take the next step in our journey. Ner Chodesh is planning to move into a real building – a purpose-built Beis Hamedrash on Albert Avenue. In order to continue to expand, we are seeking to raise funds to furnish the Shul and to also establish a library of ספרים so that the Shul can serve as a centre of תורה and תפילה.

Please help us to continue to grow and expand this unique and very special Shul and allow our candle to continue to glow!
