Pardes House Grammar School founded in 1976 by Harav Elchonon Halpern זצוק"ל was initially based in portacabins at the rear of the Primary school’s East End Road site. After the purchase of the Hendon Lane site in 1992, the school moved to the hastily-converted Grove Lodge for ten years before moving again into the current building which was designed to accommodate around 150 boys.

 
In response to the large Kehilla growth, we expanded to three-form entry five years ago. Within this short time, we have welcomed an additional one hundred boys to cater for the overwhelming demand for more places. However, the current facilities struggle to meet our boys’ needs – classrooms are cramped, the hall and amenities were originally designed for half our current numbers, and the science laboratories were inconveniently located at the far end of the Primary school and in disrepair.
 
We now have the exciting opportunity to build a new block. The Rabbi Elchonon Halpern Wing will אי״ה include extra classrooms, flexible space for combined learning, assemblies and exams, extra toilets and offices - providing the vital space that’s needed to teach the boys to the level they deserve.
 
Thanks to our generous matchers and sponsors, this dream is now within each. We’re ready to lay the foundations for the final step in this long journey for a suitable home for Pardes.
