Project Lily was launched in 2017 to help those in the Jewish community facing the terrible darkness of mental health difficulties. Our unique three-stage approach (‘Train / Support / Treat’) enables rapid interventions that prevent escalation of issues and address more intensive cases with immediate referrals and appropriate therapy.
In recent years we have stepped up at a time when our work in the community was so urgently needed. First the Covid pandemic and then the cost-of-living crisis saw huge increases in the stress and anxiety of thousands of people whose mental health was severely challenged. With an overwhelmed NHS simply unable to meet the demand for support, Project Lily was there.
Now, unimaginably, the situation has become even worse. The horrific events in Israel and the shocking rise in UK antisemitism have left us all shaken and in many cases quite literally traumatized.
Our response is simple: as the demand for help grows, we are committed to doing all that we can to support those who need us. This year we will:
Project Lily’s critical role in early intervention and support lights up the dark for thousands of people. Our recent research shows that for each person we train, three preventative interventions take place within 12 weeks of the training. This work is not only life-changing but is sometimes life-saving.
For Project Lily to continue to Train, Support and Treat, we need you to please donate whatever you can - no amount is too small – with every penny or pound doubled by our amazing Light Up The Dark match funders.
Our 2 day campaign has to meet its ambitious target by 10pm this Monday!
Together we can do it!
