The tragic Petira of Harav Moishe Chaim Dunner Zt’l, Mashgiach Yeshivas Tiferes Yaacov Gateshead, has left a gaping hole in the hearts of thousands world-wide, beneficiaries of his selfless character and wider-than-human heart.

But the gaping hole for his family; wife and five, all unmarried, children is unimaginable. To compound this, the huge financial burden makes it all-the-more unbearable. Left with no source of income, many additional expenses and a large mortgage, the dread of what lies in store is inconceivable.

“Reb Moishe Chaim”, as he was so fondly known, was a pillar of support to hundreds, maybe thousands, of Talmidim worldwide. Beginning from his years in the Mir, Yerushalayim, and more famously for the last decade in Yeshivas Tiferes Yaacov, Gateshead, his council was sought by his young Talmidim, Yeshiva alumni and even many parents seeking direction and support. His trademark smile and warm words were enough to soften even the toughest of personalities.

In his short life, all of 46 years, he left a legacy that will live on in the minds of his friends, relatives and Talmidim, likely for generations. Now it’s time for us to do our bit for him.

It is our duty and privilege to ensure his family can continue and thrive in his absence without the added strain of financial distress.
