ABOUT RELIEF

Relief receives 4000 calls per year, and this is increasing by 50% every year. Covid 19 has hit us all in many ways. Mental Health is near the top of the list unfortunately and calls have increased substantially in recent months.

Relief’s acclaimed referral service is built upon an extensive database of qualified mental health professionals from across the country.

Many of these individuals and their families would otherwise have suffered in silence!

Relief conducts seminars and training sessions for schools, educators, and community leaders to familiarise them with behavioural patterns indicative of mental health disorders. Relief also invests heavily in advertising and educating the masses in a variety of media outlets to ensure maximum exposure.

Relief maintains contact with all clients and works closely with many organisations to ensure that the best mental health care is given to everyone.

ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN

The aim of this campaign is to raise money to cover existing costs, to increase staffing to manage the huge increase in calls, to expand our current educational and awareness programmes so that we can meet the massive demand and to launch a 24-hour crisis response team among many other initiatives to help as many people and to raise as much mental health awareness as possible.
