Mummy!! Mummy!!.
6 months ago, Mrs Sabowitz a”h became unwell. This past Chodesh Nissan, she was unfortunately diagnosed with the dreaded disease, and nothing was taken for granted anymore.
How can a mother of 14 become ill?
There is a kallah in the house, and the father, who is a Rav and a noted talmud chacham learns all day…
Mrs Sabovitch always did everything she could to ensure that her husband could learn undisturbed. She ran the house solo and all was calm and pleasant.
From the first moment, her chances for recovery were slim, but her young children couldn’t understand that today might be the last time they’re seeing their mother…
Her husband did everything he could to keep the home running smoothly.
Erev sukkos the children kept calling their mother for instructions on how to decorate the sukkah, and though the older children knew the situation was serious, they didn’t dream she would be niftar so soon.
But then on Motze Shabes Bereishis their father called them all inside and with red, swollen eyes gently broke the news to his dear children.
“Mummy has left this world, my precious children. Hashem wanted her a bit closer to Him…” he sobbed.
One cannot fathom the heartrending cries that permeated the air. The children became hysterical and cried “Mummy! Mummy!” not believing the tragic news.
The fresh orphans cried deep into the night and their tears refused to dry.
But we want to help family Sabowitz before we have a chance to forget.
The levaya was held on Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan, and her choshuva husband delivered a heartbreaking hesped.
The yesomim tore kriah and said kaddish, and all the people who came to show their last respects cried bitterly along with them.
After returning to their small apartment, some kind neighbors prepared a meal for the avelim. The following days, people also sent over meals, but then what?
Slowly, the meals dwindled. After all, there are many families who require meals. And human nature is to forget…
This tragedy has shaken them to the core! The pain is crying out from every corner!
The children have been left shattered so suddenly, bereft of their mother’s love
and warm smile. They are crying out; we want to see you… just one more time….
Her widowed husband, whose wife has passed away so suddenly, now has to fill
the role of father and mother to his young orphans and take care of all their needs that are out of his realm.
He cannot continue learning & support the family due to these unfortunate circumstances.
Let’s not wait until the choshuva father the talmud chacham collapses,
let us share the burden so he doesn’t have to shoulder it all on his own.
Let us show that Klal Yisroel feels his pain and is here to lend our support.
Please give your generous donation now and may Hashem protect you from every type of illness, tragedy and disaster.
