As you're aware, the devastating effects of the October 7th attack on our community were beyond comprehension. We were faced with an unbearable loss of Jewish lives, echoing the darkest days of the Holocaust. Little did we know that this would awaken a deep-rooted antisemitism that lurked in the shadows of society.

As we grapple with the harsh realities of our new world — be it the unsettling marches in London, the pervasive antisemitism in our workplaces, or the hurtful stereotypes perpetuated by the media — the welfare of our children and the future generation weighs heavily on our hearts.

In this time of turmoil, Stand With Us UK stands as a beacon of hope, bravely fighting and empowering our Jewish and non-Jewish high school and university students on the front lines. Their unwavering dedication and support deserve ours in turn.

Dear Family and Friends,

In the immediate aftermath of Oct 7th, it was impossible to imagine the true scale of the impact the attack would have on our community. As we faced up to the greatest loss of Jewish life on any single day since the Holocaust, little could we imagine the horrors that were to come. The rising tide of hatred against Jews across the world, with Oct 7th acting as an alarm clock that awoke a latent antisemitism that we now know existed across so much of our society. 

While many of us are finding this new reality a struggle, whether it be the Saturday marches in Central London, antisemitism across the industries that we work in, media bias and celebratory endorsement of antisemitic tropes, the greatest challenge and the one we must address head on, is that faced by our children and the next generation. 

Stand With Us recognises that fight and are standing on the frontline for all of us. They have proven to be one of the most impactful organisations in educating and empowering communities and students about Israel and how to counter the exponential explosion we are seeing of anti-Jewish racism. 

There has never been a greater need to educate, mentor and empower the next generation. There has never been a greater need to remind our community that they have no reason to be afraid, that they must reclaim the word Zionist and indeed the word Jew, not allow others to take ownership of our identity, stand up, speak out and be proud.
