I am asking you to be part of something truly special - 33 hours to make a difference to a local charity that supports many people across our communities — St Oswald’s Hospice.

Demand for St Oswald’s Hospice’s Bereavement and Social Work Services is increasing, while costs to deliver them continue to rise. More and more local people need their support, both before, during and after the death of a loved one.

While these services are offered to adults and children from across the north east, free of charge, the hospice’s bereavement and social work services currently receive no statutory funding. Together, they cost £300,000 every year and all of this money must be raised through charitable giving, to allow them continue.

That’s why I’m asking you to help me today — to donate to my fundraising page if you can, and share it to help spread the word. For just 33 hours, every donation made will be doubled, meaning your gift will go twice as far in helping families when they need it most.

Let’s come together this Giving Day to raise £300,000 and ensure St Oswald’s Hospice can continue providing comfort, care, and hope to those facing loss — now and in the future. Together, we can make a lasting difference. Thank you.
