It takes a town to raise a son

Talmud Torah D’London was founded 7 years ago, in Cheshvan תשע’’ב. After realizing that every kehilla is servicing its own members, the need for a universal and neutral cheder became evident.

The cheder opened with just 2 children and two staff members in the Bais Hamidrash at 202 Clapton Common. Today, Talmud Torah D’London has a student body of over 100 as well as 30 employees. The staff are highly devoted and provide a high level of chinuch. It is thanks to them that the cheder is enjoying spectacular success b”H. The English department is on an excellent standard and the children are progressing nicely.

The cheder also boasts a superb Senco department that is available for any child who might require additional learning support.

The costs of running this mosad are £50,000 a month; roughly £600,000 a year.

We try to do all we can to cover our budget and after investing a lot of efforts in fundraising, we have a good system in place.

However, we have a deficit of £200,000 which we have no way of covering.

With every passing year, the classes get bigger, thus our expenditure increases as well. Additionally, we do not refuse parents who unfortunately cannot pay their שכר לימוד. Furthermore, this year, we purchased a building on Lordship Road, leaving us in the red.

We urgently require financial help to cover our debt, which currently stands at £400,000, so that we should be able to continue with our עבודת הקודש.
