On 9th September we’re walking from Westfield Stratford City to Westfield London (roughly a half marathon!) to raise money for Spread a Smile, who bring joy and laughter to seriously ill children and teenagers during long hospital stays.

After over a year of lockdowns, we’re celebrating bringing our shopping centres back to life and bringing our teams safely back together, as well as raising money for a fantastic charity.

We’ll be stopping to wave along the way at two of Spread a Smile’s NHS partner hospitals, the Royal London Hospital Whitechapel and The Evelina Children’s Hospital, Westminster.

Spread a Smile’s teams of entertainers (and therapy dogs) visit children at their bedsides, creating positive memories for them, their parents and siblings, as well as painting radiotherapy masks, providing family support and organising regular family outings and events.

£10 could help fund a boredom-busting art & craft pack for a seriously ill child in hospital, helping to break the monotony of a hospital stay
£50 could help fund engaging content for our own 24/7 entertainment channel, Smile TV
£115 could fund an uplifting virtual bedside visit or a virtual Smile Party by one of our entertainers for a seriously ill child in hospital and their family, spreading smiles and laughter at a time when they cannot be together
£200 could help fund a virtual activity day during the school holidays – a shared experience for multiple children to enjoy
