For 20 years, Work Avenue has ensured that members of our community can earn a living with dignity.

Over the last two decades, we have helped more than 40,000 individuals and families – supporting people to find jobs, build careers and start businesses.

Our support is open to everyone, no matter their age, background, career stage or where they live.

With people today facing so many financial challenges and stresses, from the cost-of-living crisis to the pressures from AI, demand for our services has never been greater.

As a charity, we need to raise the £1.2million budget needed to continue delivering this vital work.
Our last crowdfunding campaign was in March 2024.

Work Avenue Founder and Chair Moshe Morris says: “Earning a living is the core of every family. Every person wants to be able to have dignity and support their loved ones.

“Work Avenue exists to help people. We are constantly looking to change and improve, to see where the employment opportunities are or where the business challenges lie.

“We just ask you to be a partner and support us in this work.”

This 36-hour campaign, Your Voice, Our Mission, is infused with real voices, real stories and real results. Here, we share three of those stories.

Sasha says:

"I was in a real predicament when I first reached out to Work Avenue. I had a successful interior design business but, after a foolish business choice, I was left with no fee-paying clients and had to start all over again.

"That’s when I found Work Avenue. They taught me how to rebuild my business.

“When your work is struggling, it impacts your self-esteem and self-confidence. Work Avenue helps people create their own livelihoods and get themselves back on track. They took me from survival to stability.”

"When I first walked into Work Avenue, wanting a career in accountancy or tax, I didn’t have any idea what to do next.

“Work Avenue helped me improve my CV, practice for interview and really think about my career goals, helping me gain work experience, improve my confidence and develop skills that I still use today.

“I heard about and got my current job through Work Avenue…and it's perfect for me.

"The most important thing for someone, both financially and in terms of their self-esteem, is to have a job. That’s why Work Avenue is so important for our community."

"I trained with Work Avenue and was then invited to be part of their Freelance Agency as a website designer. I would not be where I am without them. They've not only given me training, but also the clients to build my portfolio and mentoring in all areas.
