Established in 2002, SPLASH is a grassroots organization led by parents of children with disabilities. SPLASH provides holistic, child-centred support, painting the lives of children with disabilities and additional needs bright and colourful! SPLASH activities focus on developing these children’s skills, while simultaneously providing their families with crucial respite, as well as emotional and practical support throughout the year.  

Splash provides support and provisions for the children with disabilities 7 days a week. This includes an after-school club program which includes supper, crafts, sensory play and activities. We also provide weekly horse riding therapy sessions and trampolining sessions.

Over the weekend, we provide respite, Shabbos afternoon program, Sunday afternoon trips and מוצאי שבת program for older boys. 

SPLASH also supports over 60 children with additional needs with skill-developing activities, including learning buddies, computer programming, wall climbing, baking club, and Trampolining. 

We run occasional respite and support events for parents and siblings throughout the year. 

The tremendous support from the Kehilla of Gateshead has been invaluable, with our Annual Walkathon being our primary fundraiser. The loyal participation of many Kehilla Members and the palpable excitement in Gateshead as the Walkathon date draws near, encourages us to continue splashing our colours, to brighten up the lives of all in the community who could do with our support.
